This video was the fourth assignment of the Visual Story class, as part of
the Entertainment Technology Center first year curriculum. Our goal was to create
a short film based of a theme (love), an object (hat), and a location (cinema).
We sought out to tell a story about a boyfriend and girlfriend that are kept apart by fate, but the gift that was intended for the girl still
makes it to its destination. It is a metaphor about the persistence of love.

description
design
The first scene was meant to show that Steven was getting ready to meet his girlfriend for her birthday. While he was running late, we intended
him to be very excited about his girlfriend's special day, and tried to show that he loved her. We wanted Julie to be initially unsuspecting
but gradually for her to become annoyed and frustrated at having to wait alone and eventually be stood up on her birthday. While she does not
know about Steven's fate, when she comes upon the hat that was meant for her to have in the first place, she at once feels calm again.
